1. What is this product about?
This policy provides insurance against damage to your own vehicle and/or your liabilities to other parties or death and damage to other parties’ property as a result of a motor accident depending on type of cover selected.
2. What are the covers / benefits provided?
- Comprehensive Cover - accidental or fire damage to your vehicle or theft of your vehicle.
- Third Party Fire & Theft – cover your liability towards third party as a result of motor accident and damage/loss of your vehicle due to fire and/or theft.
- Third Party Cover – it will cover:
- Death or third party bodily injury; and
- Third party property loss or damage.
- Windscreen damage
- Riot Strike & Civil Commotion
- Passenger liability cover
- Damage arising from flood and landslide
- Cash compensation if your vehicle is declared total loss or damage due to flood
- Transportation Fare
- Vehicle Break-in
- Key Replacement
- Car Loan Support
- Tyres and Rims Repair/Replacement
The above optional benefits are for Private Car only. There are separate extras for Commercial Vehicles.
NOTE: It is an offence under the laws of the Republic of Singapore to enter the country without extending passenger liability cover to your motor insurance.
Duration of cover is for one year. You need to renew the insurance annually. It is advisable that the period of insurance must tally with the period of road tax.

4. Who is eligible to apply for AIG Malaysia Online Car Insurance?
A customer may be eligible if they meet all of the following conditions:
- Aged between 24 and 65 years old.
- Has more than 2 years of driving experience.
- Has a valid driving licence that is not suspended.
- Meets the vehicle eligibility requirements.
- Meets the claims history requirements.
5. What claims history is acceptable?
The customer is eligible if:
- They have not made any motor insurance claim in the past 3 years, or
They have made only one claim in the past 3 years, provided the claim amount was less than RM10,000.
6. Does the customer need to have a valid driving licence?
Yes. The customer's driving licence must:
- Be valid, and
- Not be suspended due to any road traffic offence.
7. Which vehicles are NOT eligible for this insurance?
The following vehicles are not eligible:
- Toyota Hilux
- Toyota Fortuner
- Toyota Vellfire or Toyota Alphard with a sum insured of RM300,000 or above
- Tesla (all models)
- Mercedes-Benz Hybrid and Electric models
- Motorcycles
- Commercial vehicles or vehicles used for commercial purposes
- Sports or performance vehicles
- Unregistered new or reconditioned vehicles
- Vehicles modified from the manufacturer's original specifications to increase engine performance
8. Is there an age limit for the vehicle?
Yes. The vehicle must be 15 years old or below, calculated from its year of manufacture.
9. What is the eligible sum insured?
The vehicle's sum insured must be between RM10,000 and RM400,000.
10. Can a customer insure a commercial vehicle under this programme?
No. Commercial vehicles and vehicles used for commercial purposes are not eligible.
11. What are the major exclusions under this policy?
This insurance does not cover certain losses, including:
- The policyholder's own death or bodily injury resulting from a motor accident.
- Liability for claims made by passengers travelling in the insured vehicle.
- Loss, damage, or liability caused by Acts of Nature, such as flood, storm, or landslide (unless the relevant optional cover has been purchased).

12. Can a customer cancel the policy after purchase?
Yes. Customers may cancel their policy at any time by submitting a written request to AIG Malaysia.
Please inform customers that:
- Premium refund is subject to AIG's cancellation terms.
- Refund is only applicable if no claim has been made under the policy.
- A minimum premium of RM50 will be retained.
- The remaining premium will be calculated based on short-period rates or pro-rata, depending on whether it is a new policy or renewal.

Customers should update their contact information with AIG Malaysia as soon as possible to ensure they continue receiving important policy documents and notifications.

15. Can I purchase my wife’s car insurance using my P1 membership?
No, unfortunately not. To enjoy S-Coin Cashback on car insurance, the policyholder’s name and IC number must exactly match the P1 membership details.
Since the insurance must be registered under your wife’s name, she will need to sign up for her own P1 membership to be eligible for the S-Coin incentives on her policy.
